Modern & new. On my way to my girlfriend I always pass this place. I don't like new houses, and certainly not the concrete suburbs in Holland, but living along the water seems heaven to me. #twotakes #365+1

On Timehop Abe I saw that my photo last year was of orange Poppies. Spring is later this year. Now the Columbine is blooming. No poppies yet.

Look at me, look me! We're back. Betcha missed us.

Well, old pond, but refurbished with new soil and plants. #365+1 #twotakes

Taking it literal - Looking east on High Street in downtown Columbus.

Two Takes: East and West

Swan Dive: Post-Processing

The photo on the left was taken with a point and shoot while the photo on the right was taken with an iPhone in a swiftly moving car in NYC (don't you just love those moments!)(I wasn't the driver!).

I'm an east coaster but as I look at the gorgeous view of the west coast photo I can't help but wonder... WOW!

I created the diptych and then further processed the photos in PS CS5 and RadLab.

Air to breath and space to dry your clothes outside. #twotakes

Trying to get a picture of the fence, this showed up in my viewfinder and surprised me.

The camera went off before I was ready, but I love the result. Something I would have deleted before...

I love 'oopsies'. Like this one. Think it is my hair, with the clothinglines above my head. It happened when I was shooting the fern for 'inward'. Had to crawl around the pond, the birdfeeder and make sure I didn't step on any baby ferns. Loved this shot the moment I noticed it . #twotakes

As a freelancer life can be free. The choice to be a fulltime animal photographer gives me the chance to show the real me to the outside world. (Instead of being a secretary without passion). What that has to do with this shot? Freedom to have lunch outside when I need inspiration. (With @mahieu, a co-freelancer) #twotakes #365+1

Last year our old cottage got some new shutters. Recently they were painted in what we thought are the original colors, 'old green' and white, with a beige colored 'hour glass' in it. With new white plaster, new windows and doors and shutters I can imagine the look of the house is like when the first inhabitants moved in 140 years ago. It feels so special to take care of this place and live here. #twotakes #365+1

East meets West. Found East & West close together today. This wind flag is normally high up on a church or large house. But not today. #twotakes

What's going on underneath this umbrella is I'm having some coconut juice; amazed at the synchronicity of things. When you listen to your intuition and you become fully awake more and more to your life / passion, you can see clearly how the universe orchestrates everything you need to grow.

Starting the day off right.

I got overly excited when the barista handed me the cup. (I think I literally jumped up a little bit, squealed and reached for my phone - I have to take a picture!.) I'd never had foam art before. Love!

(And I think this also think this fit the deliberate prompt because that lovely little heart was very deliberately crafted into my latte foam - and it made my day!)

Cracked and broken, still getting the job done.

New buds just starting to open up.

I was sitting in my livingroom this morning looking around at what I could see in my view and decided that my awareness for today would be a few things that were in my immediate viewing field. Used my iPhone and Hipstamatic app for all the images.

This cupboard is from my mom and dad and it is older than me. It has seen many places. My brother used it to paint his little airplanes. Now it is cherished by me. I love the old key. (Inspired by the beautiful shadow photo by @mayte_pons www.flickr.com/photos/40032755@N06/ ) #twotakes

On our way to my friend's birthday party I noticed this lonely tulip from the car. He stood out proud amidst a field of blown daffodils. Isn't weird how he got there? I hoped I could shoot it before dark on our way home. And I did, nobody had picked him. Caught it in evening light.

I hadn't noticed the repeating patterns and lines here before, though I drive by on a regular basis. Looking up, it caught my attention. Black and white processing brought the focus onto the patterns.

The view from a bridge I often have to drive over when I'm off doing errands.
